ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP
Active membership is defined as having attended two or more BSU meetings including mass meetings and executive board meetings. The requirement is minimal because we want the entire community to be able to consider themselves active members of the Black Student Union.
Membership Benefits
Active members have the ability to formally represent BSU at the request of the Speaker.
Active members have the ability to apply to chair one of our 8 committees.
Active members have the ability to nominate themselves or peers for officer positions within the BSU.
Active members have the ability to vote in BSU elections.
Active members have the ability to propose amendments to the BSU constitution. Proposals must be accompanied by signatures of 30 active members.
Active members have the ability to request reports from any BSU committee or office.
Active members have the ability to plan mass meetings & programs on behalf of the BSU with the approval of the executive board.
